You may remember young Jack from a previous post. He lives in Marin County's beautiful Mill Valley, just up the road from Tiburon. The NorCalAllens visited Jack and his parents last weekend (their names are Bill and Cari). We had a nice weekend and then watched the first couple of innings of Game 4 of the ALCS (can you make out the A's lid in the background? Hint: it's got a yellow bill and green dome).

This shot is from about a week before the Mill Valley picture. Ben was proudly supporting the Local 9. Unfortunately, the Tigers rolled over the A's in 4 straight. Take some perspective though: when a $60MM budget team full of young players makes it to the league championship series, you've got to tip your cap (or in my case, buy a new cap...). Also, if you're going to lose, let it be to a team like the Tigers. Modest payroll, deserving players, worthy city. Face it, it's tough to root against Detroit.

This shot is of some friends getting "ready" to watch the currently 11th ranked Golden Bears crush the previous #11 Oregon Ducks at the Memorial Stadium. We had a great time.
Finally, here is Daphne again. She's hanging out with her grandmother, Kathie. Tough to recognize it here, but she was doing a Russian peasant dance in this shot.
